Truesdale Equestrian Centre
Based in South Lincolnshire and run by husband and wife duo, Angie and John Charity, Truesdale has been in business for over 30 years! Originally an arable farm, Truesdale has transformed over the years to encompass livery and many other equestrian services.
In 2018 Angie and John transformed their grain store into an indoor arena and in 2020 (lockdown!) built their impressive 30m x 60m outdoor arena.
TEC has gone from strength to strength as it has embraced a multitude of equestrian demands; From dressage, polework and showjumping training clinics to league competitions and livery facilities, Truesdale is a hive of activity for all equestrian enthusiasts!

About Angie:
I’ve lived at Truesdale for over 30 years and ridden horses for even longer! It can be a real ‘‘pinch me’’ moment when I see how much TEC has grown.
I love watching riders and their horses develop together as they progress from grassroots to serious competitors.
Our liveries are always helping one another out, and we see new and familiar faces every day for their training sessions in preparation for upcoming competitions - I love the TEC buzz!
John

About John:
Truesdale is still very much a working arable farm – that side of the business I am responsible for.
My one condition when I married Angie all those years ago was that we were not to have horses at Truesdale… 30+ years later and we’re now running an equestrian centre and I have a horse of my own! How times change!

I’ve been at TEC since 2019 with my 23 years young quirky Connemara, Atty.

Mine is probably one of the first faces you’ll see on competition days as I help Angie to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Lianne

About Lianne: I work 5 mornings a week at the stables with Angie. My daughter Lila and I both love Truesdale for its friendly atmosphere and care for the horses.

I help at every show; On dressage days I am either writing for the judges or calling tests for the competitors. On jumping days I am the voice behind the microphone introducing the horses and riders into the arena and timing each round. I love helping the competitors at TEC (if they can’t see me, they will always hear me!)
Alice
Horse(s): Blaze
Preferred discipline: All rounder
About Alice: I came to Truesdale in 2022 with my New Forest, Blaze. I work locally as an equine vet (so I’m pretty useful on a busy yard!)
When I'm not out riding with Blaze or on call at the weekend, I help Angie on competition days with things like scoring and putting out the jumps.
Annabelle

About Annabelle: I’ve lived at Truesdale Lodge all of my life and love my pony to bits!
I like to help out on competition days – I’m usually in charge of the rosettes, trophies and shields, making sure everyone gets the right one.

About KP: Everyone knows me as KP - it's even on my name badge when I help out in the kitchen on show days - but my real name is Karen.
I’ve been at Truesdale since 2016 with my retired horses and have watched TEC grow from a small livery yard to an exciting competition venue encompassing all disciplines!
